Is this becoming a new thing? Journalists setting up their own FB pages to connect with readers.  Strikes me as particularly useful for freeelance writers to highlight their work with mutliple publications. 

Still, I think the long term value would be better built outside the walled-garden of Facebook, using personal websites that would help them build SEO.  And Twitter, or course…
