Because we don’t live in a binary system of “red” and “blue” states, here’s a much more realistic representation of the US, by: 1.) State level, 2.) County level, 3.) Popular vote, and big map 4.) accounting for population density.

I’d probably change state or two based on today’s polls, but I always knew the race would be close.  Here is it visualized on a map instead.

Interesting interactive visualization of drone attacks in Pakistan.  While the use of drones remains controversial, both President Obama and Governor Romney have said they consider the tactic useful counterterrorism activity.  Interestingly the visualization makes clear that the deaths from drone attacks are not limited to militants, but include some sizable collateral damage from the strikes.
