People who are 25 years old must feel awfully confused.  Replace the word “text” with “email”, and I’m sure you’ll get the same stats from professionals armed with smartphones. To many it seems rude to text in these scenarios, but to other taking a call during dinner may seem intrusive or obnoxious.
What we see in this survey is a preference for different modes of communication.  It matches some earlier research that shows Teens text the most, nearly 2779 SMSs a month on average.

A serious demographic break between the under 25s and the overs. Although I can’t understand the issue with texting while eating, aside from the question of eating with others.
I wonder what people text while having sex? Is it about the sex or some random other stuff?

Numbers don’t mean anything without context.
Also, let’s judge people based on 10% - that always works out well.

Kids send text-messages more than once every 10 minutes

As a surprise to almost anyone who’s spent more than a few minutes accompanying a teenager with a cellphone (most of ‘em these days), a recent Nielsen study of mobile phone use shows that those under 18 send an average of 2779 sms texts per month.  That’s a staggering total of 93 per day, or about once every 10 waking minutes of the day.
